Hello, I’m

Samuel
Oguntona.

I build software and investigate how it works.

I’m building The Middleman, a digital-product marketplace for Nigerian buyers and creators. Along the way, I’m learning to deploy, debug, and keep software running.

I build with AI as a companion — to explore ideas, question decisions, and review my work.

Projects

Selected
projects.

One main product, two experiments,
and an idea I’m exploring.

A little background

Behind
the work.

I’m Samuel Oguntona, an Information Systems student at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Building a product has pulled me into databases, authentication, payments, deployment, and Linux. That’s what draws me towards cloud engineering: knowing how the pieces fit, and being able to follow a problem when they don’t.

I’m also beginning to explore AI evaluation and safety. Working on assistants and model discussions has made me curious about reliability, disagreement, and where people should stay involved.

Outside the projects, I enjoy music, space and science, and trying things that are new to me.

Technologies I work with

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Supabase
  • Python
  • Git
  • Linux Mint

AI tools in my workflow

  • Claude
  • Gemini
  • Grok
  • ChatGPT

For ideas, explanations, and a second pass on code. The decisions and responsibility stay with me.

Learning & community

What I’ve learned so far.

University, courses, and learning with other people.

  1. University

    Information Systems at OAU

Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Studying how technology fits into the way people and organisations work.

  2. Completed

    HP LIFE courses

AI for Beginners, Customer Experience (CX), Effective Presentations, and Business Email.

  3. Community

    Learning with other people

Global Hack Week: Agents (MLH), Build with AI, TESSA, and the Association of Campus Journalists at OAU.

  4. Now

    Cloud, Linux, and AI evaluation

Working through cloud fundamentals and Linux practice alongside my projects. Beginning to learn how AI behaviour can be evaluated.

03 / The terminal

Go on. Poke around.

A little shell into my work. It runs in your browser; these are simulated commands.

Build log

What changed, and when.

A few dated notes from working on this portfolio.

  1. One page, more work

Reworked the portfolio around a portrait-led reference, added a dark-screen introduction, and kept the projects and green terminal together on one page.

  2. Portfolio

Brought back the terminal and build log. Reworked the hero and gave the projects room to show what they do.

  3. Systems

Connected the cloud, Linux, security and AI experiments in the portfolio’s earlier Explorer map.

  4. First build

Built the interactive terminal, request-flow walkthrough and agent architecture demonstrations.

Get in touch

Let’s talk.

I’m open to internships, collaborations, and learning from people working in software, cloud, or AI safety. Say hello.
